Courseware and Curriculum award

9th April 2009

On the course, you travel through rooms, meet people and engage with diverse political ideasI am delighted to hear that the new OU course, Living Political Ideas, won the Courseware & Curriculum Award at the British Universities Film & Video Council (BUFVC) Learning On Screen Awards last night. The awards celebrate and reward excellence in the use of moving image, sound and related media in learning, teaching and research.

Congratulations to the academic team in Social Sciences led by Raia Prokhovnik and Jef Huysmans; to the Learning and Teaching Solutions (LTS) team led by Lynne Downey, Kathleen Calder and Jo Mack; and to everyone at the OU and beyond who was involved in creating this innovative and engaging Social Sciences course. I’m privileged to have been involved in setting up the working relationships between LTS and the course team at the outset and to have seen the course through the early part of its development.
